ABOUT US

South Apopka has a rich history of families and events, and is still a close community bound by common heritage.The South Apopka Safe Neighborhood lies within and directly adjacent to the City of Apopka and is bordered by U.S. 411, Sheeler Road, Cleveland Road, and Marden Road.

The South Apopka Safe Neighborhood strives to bring together community-based organizations, private industry, public agencies, the City of Apopka and Orange County to support South Apopka residents as they fulfill their roles as agents for positive change in their own community.

SOUTH APOPKA MEETINGS

Meetings are held monthly in a virtual format on the first Thursday at 1 PM. Contact the Orange County Neighborhood Services Division for the meeting link.

Take these steps, then let us help you turn them into Action Steps.

Meet your neighbors. Organize a block party.

Put numbers on your house. Request an addressing project for your street.

Slow Down! Start a petition to see if speed humps are a good solution.

Visit the Community Center to find out about available services. Help change messages on a reader board sign close to your home or business.

Clean your yard. Start a Yard of the Month or Quarter program in your neighborhood.

Organize a volunteer group to help elderly and disabled people maintain their yards.
